What I Call “A Funny Love Accident” [Chapter 2]

A/N: All Italic words are said in Japanese except if it’s a self-thought. I just don’t how to translate them in Japanese because I’m not really that good.

Chapter 2

RINA WAS furious like hell. How dare this Akanishi guy calling her stupid! her mind shouted. She shot him a cold stare before turning to face her godfather.

“Ninong* Johnny, I don’t want this group. Seriously, I don’t want to work with him,” she said, pointing her finger to Akanishi Jin who is still looking at them puzzled like the others. But to her astonishment, her Ninong Johnny just smiled at her before facing the so-called KAT-TUN group.

“Ohayou gozaimasu* KAT-TUN,” he greeted.

“Ohayou Johnny-san*,” they greeted back then one of the guys stepped front. “Johnny-san, what can we do for you?” he asked and according to the file she got earlier he is Kamenashi Kazuya.

“I just have something to tell to all of you Kamenashi-san. Let me introduce my beautiful goddaughter,” he said then gently pushed her forward. “This is Rina Ortize. She’ll be taking care of your group. Think of it as if she’s your “secretary.” Do you guys understand?“

“Hai* Johnny-san but why do we need a secretary?” Nakamaru Yuichi asked.

“And why her?” the hateful guy asked that earned a glare from her.

“Well, your group doesn’t really need it but I just need to give her a job.“

“Ninong*, can you put me in another group?” she tried to ask. There is no way she can work with that Akanishi guy.

“Sorry sweetie I can’t. It would be interesting to see you work with them.”

“Ninong,* what are you thinking? You had that weird smile again,” she said. Although she thinks that her Ninong* Johnny is really cool, she can’t stop worrying everytime she sees him smiling weirdly.

“BAKANISHI*!!!” a loud voice was heard then the door burst open. “Bakanishi*! You ate my food!” said the guy who is holding an empty obento*.

“I didn’t,” Jin refused.

“Oi, don’t even try lying! Ryo-chan saw you!“

“Okay, I ate it. I’ll just treat you later.”

“But that’s a special obento*. I woke up early just to buy that.“

“Oi, you two! Can you stop arguing now?” Tanaka Koki said and tried to get in between them. The two stopped then faced them. It was just that when the guy who came in realized they were there.

“Ah! Johnny-san, ohayou*,” he greeted then bowed.

“Ohayou* Yamashita-san. You better have your breakfast if you haven’t eaten anything yet,” her Ninong Johnny said with a smile.

“Ah! Chotto matte*! Akanishi, you said that you were late because there was this stupid girl who bumped into you? But the truth is you’re late because you ate Yamapi’s obento*,” the tallest guy said.

“Baka*?” she asked. “Who you calling stupid? He’s the one who bumped into me this morning,” she said in Japanese. All of them must have thought that she don’t know how to use Japanese.

“Taguchi no baka*,” Akanishi said.

“Yes, I can understand and speak Japanese,” she told them. She looked at all of them. Her eyes focused on the guy who came just a moment ago then an idea popped into her head. She gave him a sweet smile before standing beside him facing her Ninong. “Ninong, is he working here, too? Does he have a group? Can I just work with his group?” she asked and earned a confused looked from everyone except her Ninong.

“He is working here too and he is a part of the group NEWS but sorry sweetie, you’re still working with KAT-TUN,” he told her with her weird smile again.

“But Ninong–”

“No buts. You can’t refuse this work. Minna-san*, I will leave Rina in your care now. Good luck with your new work,” he told her with a pat on her head then started walking out of the room leaving her there. She tried to follow her but he closed the door. She guessed she has no choice then. She siged and turned around.

“Domo*, hajimemashite*. Watashi wa Rina Ortize desu*. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu*,” she said then bowed. “Anoo, I only know you guys because of the file I’m holding so it would be better if you guys introduce yourselves to me formally, ne?’

“Yosh*! I’m probably not in that file so I’ll go first. I’m Yamashita Tomohisa but you can just call me Yamapi. I’m part of the group NEWS. Do you know us?” he asked.

“Wakaranai*. Gomen*,” she apologized. Honestly, she doesn’t even have a clue on what her Ninong Johnny’s business all about. He just explained it to her this morning.

“So, you don’t know our group KAT-TUN?” Kamenashi asked.

“Wakaranai*. But it is because I don’t really watch T.V.”

“Ah, narukoto*. Them we’ll explain it to you. We are KAT-TUN. KAT-TUN is from the initials of our surnames. I’m the “K”, Kamenashi Kazuya. The guy who bumped into you is Akanishi Jin. The first “T” is that tall guy, Taguchi Junnosuke. The second one is that bald guy, Tanaka Koki.“

“Oi! My hair had grown,” Koki said that made her smile. “Kame, will you introduce us properly. Nevermind. Like what he said, I’m Tanaka Koki. I’m the one who is in charge of rapping. Next to me is Ueda Tatsuya and that’s about it.“

“Oi! Oi! Oi! There’s still me!” Nakamaru complained.

Smiling she said, “And you must be Nakamaru Yuichi, right?”

“Hai! I do the human beatbox,” he said then started beatboxing. She never actually met anyone who do that.

“Sugoi*!!!” she complimented.

“Nande*?” she heard suddenly.

“Huh?”

“Why are you working here? Why do we need a “secretary”?” Akanishi asked showing a knot on his forehead again.

She walked to him and extended her hand. She put her two point fingers to his forehead and tried to flatten the knot on it. “You finally speak. I thought you decided to not to speak at all.“

“Just answer me, okay?“

“Honestly,you guys doesn’t really need me. It just that I need to do this. Ninong said that all I have to do is help you guys if you need anything. So, what’s your schedule for today?“

“Here’s our schedule,” Maru gave her a piece of paper. “We have a photoshoot first so we need to there now.“

“Hmm, okay.”

“Rina-chan, me and my group are going there too. Why don’t you ride with us?” Yamapi asked.

“Chotto matte*! Why does she need to ride with you? She’s our secretary,” Koki asked.

“She’s just going to ride with me.“

“Yamapi, she’s supposed to work and not to flirt with you,” said Akanishi who is really getting to her nervs now.

“Bakanishi*–”

“It’s okay Yamapi. I’ll just go with them. I’ll just see you there, okay?” she told him and gave him a smile.

“Okay, so see you later. Oi KAT-TUN, don’t be late,” he said before going out of the room.

“Let’s go now guys, We don’t want to be late.“

“Haiiii….”

“Iku yo*!”

*Ninong - means “godfather”

*Ohayou gozimasu – means “good morning”

*Johnny-san – means “Mr. Johnny”. It is a respectful way of calling someone.

*Hai - means “yes”

*Bakanishi – it’s the combination of the word baka which means “stupid” and Akanishi which is his name. It’s his nickname.

*Obento - A Japanese meal that is packed in a partitioned lacquered box.

*Chotto matte – means “wait up”

*Baka - means “stupid”

*Taguchi no baka - means “Taguchi, you’re stupid”

*Minna-san - adressing everyone in a respectful way

*Domo - means “hi”

*Hajimemashite - means “nice to meet you”

*Watashi wa Rina Ortize desu - means “I am Rina Ortize”

*Yoroshiku onegaishimasu – means “please treat me kindly”

*Yosh - means “alright”

*Wakaranai - means “i don’t know”

*Gomen – means “sorry”

*Narukoto - means “i see”

*Sugoi - means “great” or it could also means “wow”

*Nande - means “why”

*Iku yo - means “let’s go”
